Most players lose fights because they watch too much and listen too little. This site fixes that: fewer icons on screen, more attention on game sound.
I learned this running 40-man raids. The screen fills up fast: forty nameplates, a row of timers, chat scrolling non-stop. Nobody can track all of it at once. But ears track everything at once — a wing beat, a sudden silence, a change in pitch. Every deadly mechanic announces itself in sound first.
Clean screen
Hide meters and floating numbers during the fight. Keep the boss cast bar and your survival cooldown.
One voice
One caller, short callouts. Everyone else stays muted during pulls.
Steady pace
In raids, pull about every 45 seconds. Rhythm beats improvisation.
What changes first
- Turn game effects up and music down.
- Learn two key sounds per boss before the next raid night.
- Say callouts in three words: what, where, what to do.
If you need a number mid-fight, your screen is wrong. Fix the screen, then fix the ears.
The same rules apply outside raids. ARC Raiders machines announce every attack by sound, and in Tarkov footsteps decide fights before they start. Pick your game and start listening: ARC Raiders, Tarkov.
