In a 40-player raid your screen is overloaded: timers, nameplates, chat. Your ears monitor everything at once. Onyxia’s wing beats, a sudden silence before Ragnaros sends his adds, the sound of Nefarian landing — every deadly mechanic gives an audio warning first. Learn it and you start moving early.
The same skill wins fights in ARC Raiders and Escape From Tarkov. Below you will find boss sound cues, a simple roster breakdown, and short guides for both games.

Boss sound cues
Pick a boss to see its warning sound, how much time you have, and the short callout to use. One voice makes the call — everyone else listens.
Two wing beats and a hollow inhale about a second before the cast bar shows up.
0.8s to reach the wall. Stand near the edges in phase 2 and strafe on the sound, not on the warning text.
“Wings — walls.” One voice only, no repeats.
After the hammer hit comes half a second of low silence. That silence is the warning.
1.4s to regroup. Tanks stay put, casters turn to the adds.

A falling roar that drops in pitch right before he lands. Start moving at the start of the sound, not at the thud.
2.1s to get wards up. Priests and shamans prepare, melee watch the fire.
“Landing — wards.” Short and once.

Roster basics
Four groups, each with one job. Pulls go out about every 45 seconds.
Keep the boss still and set the pace. Face the boss away from the raid. Move when you hear the cue.
Stay behind the boss and keep hitting. Step out the moment you hear the warning sound.
Heavy damage on order, full stop on order. Too much threat early pulls the boss to you.
Keep everyone alive and remove debuffs early. Start casting before the damage lands.

You can only look at one thing at a time, but you hear everything around you. In a 40-player raid the screen is full of overlapping warnings. Sounds don’t overlap the same way: learn two or three key sounds per boss and you will react faster with a cleaner screen.
Hide damage meters during the fight, turn off floating numbers, keep the boss cast bar and your own survival cooldown. Review numbers after the pull, not during it.
Classic+ adds new ranks, gear and viable off-specs — more things happening at once. That makes a clean screen and clear callouts more valuable, not less.
Me plus one speaker per group. Everyone else stays muted. Callouts are three words max: what, where, what to do. Example: “Wings — walls — move.”
